Pooja Procedure & Deliverables

Satyanarayan Pooja begins with the purification of the worship area, followed by Ganesh Puja, Sankalpa, and Kalash Sthapana. An idol or image of Lord Satyanarayan is placed on a decorated altar and worshipped with flowers, sandalwood paste, incense, lamps, fruits, Tulsi leaves, and sacred offerings. Vedic priests or devotees recite the Satyanarayan Vrat Katha, chant Vishnu mantras, and perform Aarti. The ritual concludes with prayers for peace and prosperity, followed by the distribution of the traditional Satyanarayan Prasad (usually prepared with semolina, wheat flour, sugar or jaggery, ghee, banana, and dry fruits) among devotees. Essential materials include a Kalash, coconut, mango leaves, flowers, Tulsi leaves, kumkum, turmeric, Akshat (rice), sandalwood paste, betel leaves, fruits, sweets, Panchamrit, incense, camphor, ghee lamp, sacred thread, Gangajal, and other customary puja items.
